You can ask for a Mass to be offered for someone on your parish’s Ask for a Mass page. You don’t need an account.
- Open your parish’s page and tap Ask for a Mass.
- Under 1. Choose a Mass, pick a day. If your parish has more than one church, you can choose a Church first. Use Earlier and Later to change month.
- Tap a time marked Available. A time marked Taken has no place left.
- Under 2. Your request, type who the Mass is for in Who is the Mass for?. Then choose from What is it for?.
- Fill in Your name and Your email address. Your phone number is optional.
- Tick or untick Include this intention in the parish newsletter.
- Tap Send my request.
Now check your email and click the link. See “Confirm your Mass request”. Until you do, the Mass isn’t held for you.
Good to know
- Your parish decides how far ahead you can ask, and how much notice it needs. The page shows the first and last dates you can choose.
- Your parish decides the suggested offering and how to give it. You’ll see this on the form.
- Some parishes let more than one person share a Mass. If yours does, you tick a box to say you understand.
- If a Mass is full, some parishes still let you ask for it. The form then explains that your intention may be offered elsewhere.
- Other people can’t see what you write. The page only shows Available or Taken.
- Tap How we use your details on the form to see what is kept and for how long. Your email address and phone number are deleted 12 months after the Mass. A request you never confirm is deleted after 24 hours.
