Admins can add, change or remove bank details. Clergy can see them. Go to Settings and find the Bank details box.
People who ask for a Mass are shown your details after they send their request, with a reference to use. They’re never shown on your public pages.
Add them
- In Bank details, type the Account name. Use exactly the name your bank has on the account, or people’s banking apps will warn them.
- Type the Sort code, like 12-34-56, and the Account number, which is 8 numbers.
- Tap Save bank details.
Every admin and clergy member is emailed when details are added.
Change or remove them
- Tap Change, edit the details and tap Save bank details. Tap Don’t change them to go back.
- Tap Stop showing bank details to remove them. You’re asked to confirm.
Why a change waits
To protect your parish from fraud, a change takes 24 hours to take effect. The same goes for details added after earlier ones were removed. Until then, people are shown the old details. The page shows when the new ones start, and who changed them. Admins can tap Cancel this change. Every admin and clergy member is emailed about each change.
The first details you ever add take effect straight away.
Good to know
- Pewbook only shows your details. It never holds or moves money.
- When you record an offering, you can choose Bank transfer under Given as.
